We believe live theatre develops healthy, creative, lively children. We bring creative content to schools that augment the curriculum and offer educators new ways to enhance their students’ learning.
This season, MTYP will be touring one production in the spring of 2026:
Tad and Birdy

Recommended for: Kindergarten to Grade 6
Approximate running time: 60 minutes
Connections: confronting your fears; building friendships; embracing growth and change
Tad, a bird-voiced tree frog tadpole, and Birdy, a lovebird who knows everything except how to be happy, form an unlikely friendship. As Tad emerges into the world, they find themselves in a messy bedroom, where Birdy has been living for much longer. Birdy has no hope or interest in the world beyond their window. The optimistic Tad eventually breaks through Birdy’s resistance. Through the ups and downs of their friendship, they grow to appreciate each other, and inspire one another to venture beyond the limitations placed on them, both real and perceived.
