MTYP is committed to accessibility and inclusion for all young people, regardless of their geographical location or their socio-economic status. We believe live theatre develops healthy, creative, lively children. We bring creative content to schools that augment the curriculum and offer educators new ways to enhance their students’ learning.
This season, MTYP will be touring one production in the spring of 2025:
Blue Beads and Blueberries
On Tour: March 3-28 & April 7-May 18
Recommended for: Kindergarten to Grade 6
Approximate running time: 60 minutes
When a father asks his daughters how much they love him, he feels slighted by the response of his youngest and sends her away. This sets her off on an adventure of self-discovery, one brimming with beaded earrings, woven sashes, and traditional jigs. Blue Beads and Blueberries transforms an ancient fairy tale into a celebration of Métis culture.
