An adventure for children ages 3&4 and their caregivers. Watch your child’s natural love of stories blossom along with their confidence and group skills. In this course, adults participate with their children in various forms of imaginative play, songs, and stories.
Siblings ages 2 and/or 5 save 50%
2-year-olds attending DramaVentures are inspired by the older members in the class, and 5-year-olds are natural leaders. While the course is geared for children ages 3 & 4, your additional children ages 2 & 5 may join in for 50% off.

I Can Pretend!
I Can Pretend! teaches children with autism how to play with peers and form relationships, something that children with autism spectrum disorder typically struggle with.
Created by a seasoned drama educator and parent of a child on the autism spectrum, this program uses best practice teaching for children with autism including modelling, picture activity schedules, familiar routines, repetition, and reward.
Through drama, younger children learn imaginative play skills and how to work in a group while older children hone social skills and performance skills. It is a program that is based on research supporting how children with autism learn.
Children currently enrolled in an intensive intervention program such as ABA, RDI or DIRFloortime will benefit most from this program.
First piloted at Manitoba Theatre for Young People as part of a graduate study in 2009, the program grew considerably and later moved to Tuxedo Community Centre, to Autism Learning Centre, and now, nearly 15 years later, back home again to MTYP!
Let’s make the biggest pizza in the world! Your children will laugh, learn and rejoice in the power of dramatic play. Teacher-led Improvisation, short scenes, story theatre, dress-up, puppets and crafts will nurture creativity and assist children in developing imaginative play and social skills. Listening and sharing will be the main focus of this class.
