MTYP’s upcoming season includes seven productions that will delight students and audiences who are young at heart. This season, we welcome four talented companies from across Canada and from across the Pacific Ocean. Our first play, Gather, is a heartwarming story following two best friends as they navigate an unpredictable snowstorm. Then the award-winning Kaha:wi Dance Theatre from Toronto returns with the powerful and haunting The Mush Hole. Our family holiday show is based on bestseller Rick Riordan’s The Lightning Thief followed by Tad and Birdy, a play about the unlikely friendship between a bird-voice tree frog tadpole and a lovebird. By popular demand, we welcome back our BRUSH Theatre Production friends from Seoul, South Korea with the fun-filled Doodle Pop. We close the season with two new Canadian works: Glitch!, a show about the power of imagination from Montreal, and Otosan, a gorgeous puppet production about family and connection from Vancouver.
