MTYP’s Midwinter Mosey
A Manitoba Theatre For Young People (MTYP) Production
MTYP’s Midwinter Mosey revisits three of your best-loved holiday shows while you embark on a wintry walk. You and your loved ones will experience some of the most magical moments from A Charlie Brown Double Bill, The House at Pooh Corner, and A Year with Frog and Toad – all wrapped up in one heart-warming show. Scarves, toques, and mittens are encouraged as you and your loved ones promenade with us to different stations around our facility and we walk outdoors together through a winter wonderland. We’ll close the performance with a final promenade inside and we can hardly wait to welcome you back home!
Recommended for ages 3+
approximate running time: 35 minutes with no intermission
As per provincial regulations, all patrons 12 years and older must be vaccinated to attend this event. Those under 12 must be accompanied by a fully immunized person with whom they reside or a relative who is fully immunized. Manitoba or Canada’s Vaccine Passport will be used for confirmation so please bring either your physical immunization card or the digital QR code, as well as a piece of government-issued identification.
As the majority of the show will take place outdoors, masks are not required, but definitely recommended (and hey, they’ll keep you warm!). All patrons will be required to be masked before entering the facility for the indoor component.
MTYP’s Midwinter Mosey will take place outdoors, moseying to stations around our building, and will end with a special surprise for you inside our theatre. This, of course, means that we will be traveling from place to place outside in the winter, and journeying over snow covered paths. One additional thing to note is that while the paths will be cleared, some are over grassy areas, not pavement or gravel.
We appreciate that the route may cause some difficulty with accessibility, and may keep you or those attending with you from accessing all stations during the show.
If you, or someone joining your party for MTYP’s Midwinter Mosey has any concerns with mobility, or relies on a mobility assistance device or vehicle/wheelchair, please contact Kerri Potter, Box Office Manager, as soon you are able to, so we can discuss your specific needs and assess together how we may best support you, and everyone attending with you.
Kerri’s phone number is 204.942.8898 and her email is [email protected] Her hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Thank you in advance for your support and understanding as we explore this new mode of sharing a performance with you – outdoors!
