Tim Watts (Creator / Performer) is a performer, deviser, director, producer, puppeteer and animator. He has created and toured theatre around Australia and the world winning numerous awards and critical acclaim. In 2009 he created The Adventures Of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer, which over the last 5 years has toured the world, receiving numerous awards including ‘Best Production’ and ‘Members Choice’ at 2009 The Blue Room Theatre Awards, ‘Outstanding Solo Show’ at the New York International Fringe Festival, ‘Best Theatre’ at Auckland Fringe Festival, ‘Best Puppetry’ at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and ‘Best Male Performer’ at Dublin Absolut Fringe. In 2012 he co-created It’s Dark Outside, commissioned by Perth Theatre Company, which won the Arts Hub Critics’ Choice Award for ‘Innovation’. In 2013 he co-created and performed in Bruce at The Blue Room, Summer Nights, Fringe World in Perth. Bruce recently toured to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, receiving rave reviews and a sell-out season. Tim was also recently awarded a 2015 Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship.
