FROG AND TOAD CHOREOGRAPHER WINS EVIE FOR OUTSTANDING WORK

Thank-you to the Winnipeg Theatre Community for being so welcoming. I grew up wanting nothing more than to dance at the RWB but choreographing at MTYP is just as rewarding and allows me the chance to work with Pablo who is one of my oldest and dearest friends and a marvelous group of amphibians and other animals. The best part of working on A Year with Frog and Toad was knowing that we were going to be giving so many children their first experience in a theatre – and that is an opportunity that must be valued and celebrated – because the earlier we give them the chance to feel that connection, that magic, the more likely it is that they will want to be part of the theatre for their whole lives – and that we can give them the chance to laugh and learn and grow and adventure in their minds, hearts and most importantly imaginations. The children and families of Winnipeg are lucky to have MTYP to give them those experiences, and I am lucky to have been along for the magic.

Thank you very much!
