Connections: Greek mythology; the hero’s journey; friendship and loyalty
Percy Jackson has new powers he can’t control, a destiny he doesn’t want, and a mythology textbook worth of monsters on his trail. Recently discovering he is the son of a Greek god, Percy and his demi-god friends set out on a quest to find Zeus’ missing lightning bolt and, hopefully, prevent a war. A dynamic adaptation of Rick Riordan’s novel of the same name, The Lightning Thief is a musical students (and teachers) of any age can enjoy together!
