On behalf of the board, the staff, and most importantly every child who benefits from this extraordinary theatre, thank you for your immediate response to our fundraising appeal. With your help, and the support of other community spirited individuals, we have raised an amazing $30,000 in donations!

We are overwhelmed by the response we received - not just the financial support, but by the many notes of praise and encouragement. Your appreciation of what we do at MTYP is both inspiring and humbling.

Manitoba Theatre for Young People honours young people. We help develop their voice; we touch their hearts and spark their imaginations. On behalf of the kids and teens, all 135,000 of them, we would like to sincerely thank you for helping!

Below is just a small sampling from all the wonderful comments we have received:

"Your company has changed this city - really has changed the world. You do it be presenting the most exciting theatre for audiences of any age. You do it by showing children versions of themselves. Giving them hope, making them feel less alone, and best of all letting them imagine."
Shawna Dempsey, Patron and Artist

"From age four to eighteen, Manitoba Theatre for Young People was my home away from home. At MTYP, I developed the confidence, skills, and passion to perform and communicate anywhere; from a large stage to a classroom to a job interview. I hope that as many children as possible get the opportunity to grow up in such a magical place!"
Rachel Swatek, former MTYP student

"MTYP is one place you can go and still be yourself regardless of what background you come from. It is also a place where you can meet some of the most profound people in your life, who will help in whatever situations you may be in. Take a chance, make mistakes and don't ever be afraid to pursue your goals, whatever they may be."
Tcakejik Jack Morales, Student & Youth Mentor, MTYP's Aboriginal Arts Training and Mentorship Program

"We'd like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to see live theatre. Most of these students (and some adults, too!) will never get that chance, especially in their own community."
