Alissa Watson • Helen
Alissa is a Winnipeg born artist and educator whose passions include physical comedy and “clowning around”. She is the co-founder of The Red Nose Diaries (Maple & Sticky’s Amazing Olympic Race and The Polka Dots of Death: The Making of a Supervillain) and is a proud founding member of Winnipeg’s only all-female Bouffon Ensemble, The Talentless Lumps.
Alissa holds a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education from Brandon University and has studied theatre at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in England, The Manitoulin Conservatory for Creation and Performance, and is an alumna of the Professional Training Ensemble at Prairie Theatre Exchange (PTE@PTE). The 2015 Recipient of the Reg Skene Award for Emerging Theatre Artist, she is also the percussionist for the sweet and cheeky, Fu Fu Chi Chi Choir.
Recent stage credits include: Dib & Dob and the Journey Home, Night Light (MTYP); Sense & Sensibility (RMTC); Mission Munschpossible, Magical Mystery Munsch (PTE); Stripped Down Midsummer Night’s Dream (SIR).
Like the characters in Torn Through Time, Alissa has been lucky to meet many amazing everyday heroes – but the most influential has been her mom.
